Training and Empowering the Next Generation of Female Leaders
Since 2011, over 310 high school girls from across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico have been trained, mentored and inspired to become the next generation of female leaders through the HERlead Fellowship (formerly known as the ANNpower Vital Voices Initiative).
The Fellowship is designed to equip young women with the leadership skills they need to effect global progress, invest in their communities — to date, more than 207 social impact projects have been funded — and begin their journeys as the next generation of leaders.
The groundbreaking initiative is a result of the partnership between Vital Voices, the preeminent non-governmental organization whose mission is to invest in women leaders who improve the world, and Ann Taylor, LOFT and Lou & Grey, subsidaries of ascena retail group, inc. As a family of brands, ascena inspires and connects with women to put their best selves forward every day. Through products, experiences and impact-oriented programs, the company is dedicated to helping women lead, be remarkable and find their voice.
