Anjana
My name is Anjana, and I am a junior this year at Shorewood High School in Shorewood, Wisconsin. I am the arts and entertainment editor for my school newspaper, involved in Student Council, president of the chess club and part of the Model UN team. I am also involved in every branch of the science club: president of SMART Team, Lake Sturgeon Bowl, Science Olympiad and Science Fair. I am a teen board member for the Girl Scouts of Southeast Wisconsin Council Board of Directors. I am most passionate about chess and Girl Scouting because these are two activities that have really helped shape who I am today.
My HERlead Project: BEATROOT: DEVELOPING A STEAM ECOSYSTEM
My HERlead Project will establish a STEAM ecosystem for young people and adults in my community and surrounding areas, creating a space for gathering and engaging in STEM education.
