Charlotte Capers
I am a sophomore from Gray Court, South Carolina and I am a committed intersectional feminist. I am passionate about justice and equality, and have worked in my school to promote ideas and policies that support and protect women and the LGBTQIA community. I am a competitive swimmer and the co-captain of my high school debate team, and I believe firmly in the power of women working together to empower each other, lift each other up, and ultimately change our communities through our passion and hard work.
My HERlead Project: EMPOWHER
In my HERlead Project, I will inspire more young women to seek out leadership opportunities in their schools through a countrywide program that recruits, encourages, supports and provides training and resources. My program will be centered on the importance of mentorship.
