I am a sophomore at Stanford University from Seattle, Washington. As a classical Indian dancer, I am passionate about promoting youth participation in and awareness of classical art forms. I also love conducting scientific research and have interned with the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration as well as the Harvard School of Public Health as a Research Science Institute Scholar. I have won numerous awards, including recognition at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (2013, ’14, ’15).

My HERlead Project: ART YOU

My HERlead Project will use art as a medium to empower youth from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds to realize their social, emotional and intellectual potential. Pairing STEM with art concepts will help students grow their leadership skills through collaborative opportunities, and networking and mentorship opportunities will aid in developing their academic plans and career goals.
