Salomee is a French-Belizean junior from Las Vegas, Nevada, with a passion for immigration rights as she grew up in an immigrant family. She created “We the Immigrants,” a movement where immigrants around the world share their experience as an immigrant through art and writing. Salomee has been appointed by Senator Woodhouse to represent 48,000 youth in Nevada to combat education inequity and is also State Liaison for the US Youth Climate Strike. Salomee aims to give immigrants an opportunity through writing by creating a platform for immigrants to directly share their stories. Salomee has been featured on the Robin Morgan show in the Women’s Media Center, where she emphasized the importance of representation. Salomée wants to make sure every person with marginalized identities has a seat at the table. She hopes to study international relations to become a Nevada Senator, and later, the first female prime minister of Belize.
