Maureen
I am a junior from Wichita, Kansas, but I spend my summers helping with the family business on the Jersey shore. Like my six siblings, I am homeschooled and take college classes at my local university. My proudest moment was presenting my invention to President Obama at the 2015 White House Science Fair, the event that ignited my quest to engage other girls in STEM education.
My HERlead Project: CATWALK CODING
For my HERlead Project, I will host an all-girl extracurricular mentorship and technology camp primarily for low-income 5th-12th graders to increase the confidence of young women who choose to enter STEM fields.
