Clare
My name is Clare and I am a high school junior. I love the visual and performing arts, traveling, reading, spending time in the outdoors and sports. I am the president of our Shirts Across America Chapter, which sends students down to New Orleans over Spring Break to help rebuild homes affected by Hurricane Katrina. My biggest passion is community service and specifically, getting young people involved in their community.
My HERlead Project: Fighting Injustice Through Youth Art
My project engages teenagers in social justice and global awareness through public art. Each month, volunteer youth artists will create an art piece to raise awareness about a community issue and will then display their artwork throughout Seattle, Washington.
