Katerina

Katerina is a junior at Stuyvesant High School in New York City. She is passionate about public service and international relations. As a member of the Manhattan Leadership Council, Katerina worked with other student representatives and local politicians to write legislation that promoted the formation of Gender-Sexuality Alliances in New York City public schools. She is currently serving her third term as class caucus president and is a co-chair of the Federal Emergency Management Agency National Youth Preparedness Council. As a result of her commitment to serving her community, Katerina has received several recognitions including United States Senate Youth Program New York State Alternate, NYC Emergency Management Commissioner for A Day Essay Competition Winner, and Disney Dreamers Academy Attendee. In addition to participating in government, Katerina enjoys playing the piano, acting, and creative writing.
