Kayla

Kayla is a junior from Illinois who attends boarding school at the Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School in Michigan. As the national spokesperson for Shoot Film Not Gun, inventor of a gun safety device, recipient of a Presidential Community Service award and activist in combating social justice issues, Kayla’s ultimate passion is to find a solution for gun violence against youth. She is the president of Cranbrook’s African-American Awareness Association, an alumni of the Black Girls Lead program, and a National Scholastic Arts and Writing award winner.
