I am a sophomore from Dayton, OH. I’m a Mexican-American with American Indian roots and I am passionate about intersectional feminism, journalism, LGBTQ+ pride, access to universal healthcare, public health and wellness, immigration reform, and equal access to education for all children regardless of cultural identifiers. In addition, I maintain a blog where I write about these issues.
My HERlead Project: THE QUEER COMMUNICATIONS PROJECT
In my HERlead Project, I will develop The Queer Communication Project, a series of writing, journaling and conversation sessions that share potential coping mechanisms with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, providing support and a safe space.
