Megan

Megan is a junior at Newark Charter High School in Delaware. She is passionate about environmental justice, racial equality, and women’s rights. She is the founder and executive director at The Urban Garden Initiative, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that focuses on environmental sustainability and gardening education. She is also the author of the children’s book Finding Tiger that addresses the issues of implicit bias and stereotyping. Megan is a lover of music and the arts and has performed at Carnegie Hall and has had her paintings displayed in local gallery shows. Megan hopes to pursue a field in social entrepreneurship and public policy to continue to help serve her community every day.
