Sarah

I’m a sophomore from London, ON. I’m passionate about gender equality (especially in the technology and engineering fields), advocating for youth activism and promoting STEM education in public schools. In my community, I am currently the Ward 13 councilor of the London Youth Advisory Council, a mentor at Ladies Learning Code and a Counselor at the Bit By Bit computer science camp. Most importantly, I am the Co-Founder of Girls in TE, a nonprofit organization that inspires young girls to pursue careers in technology and engineering in order to close the gender gap in these fields.

My HERlead Project: GIRLS IN TE

My HERlead Project will increase gender diversity in technology and engineering fields by encouraging young girls to pursue future careers in TE through mentorship, hands-on experiences and socially collaborative partnerships.
